GIPC brought blow-ups of the first four Candy covers to give folks a taste of what the books are all about, as well as 7,000 mini-prints of those covers, and 400 t-shirts to give away. The mini-prints were snapped up over the course of the 4+ day event, and so were the t-shirts which we now only have a few left available for sale here on the sites "Store" page. A
few of the many high points of the event: Regent was introduced to his biggest inspiration, "The Crow" comic book creator, James OBarr. Candy
penciler Djezer and inker Eric Theriault flew down from Montreal and
spent lots of time at the GIPC booth. See
it for yourself: By
the end of the event, a nice, healthy slice of the comic book world had
witnessed their first glimpse of CandyAppleBlack, and they liked what
they saw. |
