Yes, it took us long enough to get this page up, but producing the Candy books has turned out to be a lot more involved than we ever imagined. In any case... Alan Clinton
So...
Submissions should focus on themes indigenous to Candy: loss, betrayal, pain, isolation, suffering, the many faces of love, sex, death, suicide, hopelessness, and all that darkness touches. A little catharsis thrown in is okay as well, but if you know Candy, you know what I mean - there are already plenty of sunshiny, happy happy, up-with-people poetry pages out there. We
are not one of them.
Well make every effort to not be that bad. Sadly,
as with most poetry on the web, we pay no fee to post your work, however,
my ultimate goal is to produce an actual, annual, physical anthology/book
of the featured writers works after the seventh and final Candy
comic book has been released, and publish a book of said poetry/prose,
which is certainly a great avenue and opportunity for any unknown poet.
To those ends, if you would like to submit your poetry/prose to us, fill out and submit the following form.
