HERMETIC
You grew up inside one of my forking paths,
permitting you everything. Passkeys fell
like snow. There are names for you: stowaway,
parasite, avatar. In vain I try to tell you
what days to come, what diseases to bring.
We always invite you by mistake, never knowing
how many trapdoors we owned, that we were
kastles turned inside out. What books you made
me read! Every one a treatise on anarchy and
retroviruses, each completely unrecognizable
until it reappeared in a nightmare. You insisted
I know about every message you received,
no matter how excruciating, you came with me
like a ghost that changes places of residence,
you began before me and carry me into the future.
