ABSOLUTE ALLEY


behind a veil of grey
I see....
eight manufactured queens
kneeling
towards the altar of
hedonistic patrons
and
discovering
their god
was never there
they left
empty, white and narrow-eyed
with limp snarls and bowed heads,
to pursue a path down
absolute alley
and wait
tense, sprung and throbbing
fragmented, clipped and discarded
without faith
they accept bitter pills
with diseased throats
that can't swallow hole
repleat
in moments of benign
conformity
they recede
further down
absolute alley.
