OK! No more waiting! After over endless disappointing false
starts, it looks like the comprehensive collection of Regent's
songs titled "Glamour & Damnation: Greatest Hits & Dirty Little
Secrets" under the Castle Blak moniker, is finally going to be
released!!!

REGENT: "For about eight years now, various people have
generously offered to help get this extensive collection into
better sonic and commercial shape, in other words, to help
me edit and/or re-master these many masters, some of
which having fallen into dicey shape over the years since they
were initially recorded. I wanted to do this, because
throughout the entirety of my musical career, I've strived to
record my songs with the best possible production values,
within the extremely limited financial constraints I was given.
Most if not all of those people who offered to help put this
thing together, offered to do it for free, but sadly, most if not
all of those people did part of the work, but were never able
to finish it. I can't blame them though, after all I never paid
any of them to do any of it, and like the song says: 'Love
don't pay the rent.'

So I finally came to the point where I knew beyond the
shadow of a doubt that if I didn't just put this collection
together myself, as-is, it would never get done at all.

So that's what I've done. I've taken the best versions of these
recordings that I could put my hands on, some with dropouts,
glitches, scratches, weird EQs, basically every sonic problem
that you can imagine being represented at various places
among these recordings, but at least it is DONE. Besides, this
is Rock and roll in its purest state. In fact, a lot of these
"masters" were never really anything more than very
ambitious demos anyway. We recorded as much as we could,
as fast as we could, for as cheap as we could, and frankly,
listening back to it all, I'm damn proud of it. We consistently
took a rock and a stick and made a Buick out of them. Not
too shabby.

“Enough scares for three movies. You'll be jumping out of your
seat!”
- Stuart Gordon, director of Re-Animator

“Look out Eli, Anthony C. Ferrante is going to be doing some
very cool things in the future and if this movie is any indication
of the coolness he can create we may have a NEW “Master of
Horror”. A clear-cut Halloween classic for years to come.”
- Spooky Dan, Bloody-Disgusting.com

The film is also available for rent at Blockbuster and Hollywood
Video chains across the country.

REGENT:  In order to keep safely within the protective bubble
of Fair Use, Jason and I are now looking into getting a public
library, or college, or other school, to host and stream the 19
episodes of "No Sleep!" that we shot and aired. It makes
sense, since our shows were almost like a film class anyway. If
anyone knows of any school or library that might be interested
in hosting and streaming the shows, send them our way.

REGENT: The saga continues! For the past few months I've
been talking with ex- Jetboy, Billy Rowe , who purportedly has
a current email addy for Head On's guitarist James Ray , one of
the two main members that I've been trying to locate for all
these years, and who fell off the face of the Earth after
recording his as yet unreleased masterpiece with his last band
Sybil way back in the late '80's. Billy also said he'd talk to his
old bandmate Fernie Rod ( Frank Wilsey's old guitar tech) to
see if we can piece more of the Head On mystery together.
More to come!

REGENT: "Although I love, love, love "Sanction," the Candy
Film and new CD Box Set of my music have been my focus for
the past few months, and will likely cotinue to be for the next
few. My goal is to get a first draft of the "Sanction" GN script
done by the end of summer, 2006. Until then, feast your eyes
on the gorgeous cover art for the book by Candy cover artist
Marc Sasso.
